You can control whether new activity summaries are private or public using the app's privacy settings. Information that has already been viewed, copied, or shared by others may not be retractable.

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share or make information available in the following circumstances:

With service providers

We use third-party providers to operate Run Report, including services for authentication, database storage, file and photo storage, app infrastructure, diagnostics, and security.

Our current infrastructure uses Firebase services provided by Google LLC for authentication, database storage, and file storage. Google also provides the Google Cloud services described above. Google's data-protections are equivalent to the protections RunReport applies.

  • When you upload a profile or activity photo, Run Report sends the selected image to Google Cloud Vision SafeSearch for an automated content check before storage. The in-app processing is designed to detect unsafe content and prevent certain files from being stored.
  • If you opt in to fueling analysis and custom model development, Run Report uses eligible race-summary data for analysis in Google BigQuery. Run Report also plans to use eligible data in Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform managed custom-training jobs to train and evaluate Run Report's own transformer-based fueling-outcome classifier. This planned training is not currently active. If it begins, the data will be used for Run Report's model, not submitted to the Gemini generative-model API. The in-app consent notice describes the eligible fields and purpose before you opt in.

With other users

Information you mark as public may be visible to other Run Report users.

For safety and legal reasons

We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to:

  • Comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or government request
  • Protect the rights, safety, and security of Run Report, our users, or others
  • Investigate fraud, abuse, security incidents, or violations of our terms
  • Respond to valid reports of harmful or unlawful activity

Run Report allows you to record nutrition, fueling, performance, and activity information. This information may be sensitive.

Run Report is not a medical service and does not provide medical diagnoses or medical advice. Pattern insights are for informational purposes only and should be discussed with a qualified medical professional as appropriate.

You should not use Run Report as a substitute for professional medical care.

6. AI and Training Insights

Run Report uses BigQuery analyses to provide community-level fueling insights. Published patterns are shown only when at least 20 distinct opted-in participants contribute to a group and the data passes internal quality checks.

You may separately opt in to contribute eligible race summaries to Run Report's statistical analysis and custom fueling-model development. Participation is optional and does not affect your ability to use the app.

For this optional purpose, Run Report replaces your account identifier with a random pseudonymous participant key. This is pseudonymous data, not a promise of anonymity: the research export may include summary notes and notes attached to fueling events. The app applies profanity filtering to supported text, but it does not guarantee that free-text notes are screened for or stripped of personal identifying information. Notes may reveal your identity or other sensitive details, so avoid including names, contact information, or other identifying information.

Eligible research fields may include race name, distance, activity date, start time, elapsed time when provided, visibility, self-reported activity rating, cheers count, fueling event types and timing, event notes, timeline offsets and count, and summary notes. The export does not include usernames, account IDs, email addresses, profile photos, race photos, or other users' comments.

Only race summaries first created after your affirmative opt-in are eligible for fueling analysis. When you save an edit to an eligible summary, Run Report refreshes its existing BigQuery research record with the saved values; it does not create a separate record for each edit. The original server-recorded creation time remains the basis for consent eligibility. Editing a summary created before you opted in does not make it eligible. If a research record is missing, Run Report recreates it only when the summary's original creation time and eligibility can be verified.

You can withdraw at any time in Privacy Settings. Once withdrawal is recorded, Run Report stops exporting future eligible summaries and immediately begins deleting your rows from the research dataset.

After rows are deleted from BigQuery, Google Cloud's recovery systems may retain recoverable copies for a limited period. BigQuery's default time-travel period is up to seven days, and deleted data can remain in backups or logs for limited operational periods.

Withdrawal and deletion do not alter custom models that were already trained before withdrawal. We do not automatically retrain or modify those models. Data from a withdrawn participant may still influence a previously trained model in ways that cannot be fully reversed.

7. Data Storage and Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.

No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

Access to private account data is restricted through authentication and database permissions. Public information is intentionally accessible to other users when you choose to publish it.

8. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to:

  • Provide the app and its features
  • Maintain account history
  • Meet legal, accounting, or security requirements
  • Resolve disputes
  • Enforce our agreements

When you delete your account, Run Report removes your Firebase account records and starts deletion of your active pseudonymous research rows. Deletion requests are processed promptly, but some data may remain in backups or logs for a limited time while systems complete removal.

While you remain opted in, pseudonymous fueling-research records have no fixed expiration date and are not automatically deleted on a schedule. They may be retained for ongoing statistical analysis and model quality monitoring.

Consent records

We retain a record of your consent status, policy version, and the dates you opt in or withdraw so we can enforce your choice and document how research records were authorized. This record is kept as a non-research administrative record.

9. Account Deletion and Your Choices

You may be able to:

  • Edit your profile information
  • Change activity visibility
  • Delete activity summaries
  • Remove followers or following relationships
  • Block users
  • Opt in to or withdraw from optional fueling analysis and future custom-model development
  • Delete your account

You may also request access, correction, or deletion of your account information by contacting runreportsupport@gmail.com. Account deletion removes your Firebase account records and initiates research-data removal according to the retention schedule described above.

10. Children's Privacy

Run Report is not intended for children under 13, or the minimum age required by applicable law in the user's location.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below the applicable age. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

11. International Data Transfers

Run Report and our service providers may process and store information in countries other than the country where you live. Those countries may have different data protection laws.

Where required, we will use appropriate safeguards for international data transfers.

The app provides links to third-party services and external websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, content, or security of third-party services.

You should review the privacy policies of third-party services before using them.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the effective date and may provide additional notice when required.

Your continued use of Run Report after an updated Privacy Policy becomes effective means that you acknowledge the updated policy.
